About Us

Susan Youmans
Susan completed her degree in Music Education at Wichita State University and has 20 years experience as a music educator and piano teacher. She has been a licensed Kindermusik educator for 12 years and has served with Kindermusik International as a Workshop Administrator and Regional Advisor. In her music classes, she incorporates the philosophies of Delcrose, Orff and Kodaly; and her own personal philosophy that music should be a joyful experience. She focuses on the process of learning, offering opportunities for children to perform as they express their readiness. Like Cheryl Lavendar (Making Each Moment Count), she believes that, "The fact that children can make beautiful music is less significant than the fact that music can make beautiful children."
